Answer

Is Credicorp a direct lender or a broker?

Credicorp is a direct lender, not a broker. You deal with Credicorp throughout — we assess your company, make the lending decision, and provide the funds ourselves. There is no middleman passing your application to a panel of third parties, which means a single point of contact and a more direct, accountable relationship from application to repayment.

Direct lender versus broker — the difference

A broker is an intermediary: they take your details and shop them around to a panel of lenders, then introduce you to whichever offers to fund you. A direct lender, by contrast, lends its own money and makes its own decision. Credicorp is a direct lender. When you apply, your information goes to us, we assess your company, and we provide the finance — the decision and the funds come from the same place. That matters because it removes a layer between you and the people actually deciding on your loan.

What dealing directly means for you

Working with a direct lender usually means a clearer, faster, more accountable process. There is one relationship to manage rather than a broker and a separate funder, which tends to mean quicker decisions and a single point of contact if you have a question or need to vary your arrangement later. It also means the terms you are offered are our terms, explained by us, with no introducer fee sitting between you and the lender. Who Credicorp lends to

Credicorp provides short-term, working-capital finance to UK limited companies. We lend to the company itself, not to directors personally, and we do not take a personal guarantee — so the facility sits with the business. We do not lend to individuals or, as a rule, to sole traders; the structure is built around limited companies. Applying directly

Because we are a direct lender, you apply to us straight away — there is no introduction step. You can review what we offer at credicorp.co.uk/business-loans and begin an application through our client portal. Have your company details and recent bank information ready and the process is straightforward. If you want to know what we look at before you start, see what lenders check.

Frequently asked questions

Will Credicorp pass my application to other lenders?

No. As a direct lender we assess and fund applications ourselves, so your information is not shopped around a panel. You deal with Credicorp from application through to repayment.

Are there broker or introducer fees?

Because there is no broker in the middle, there is no introducer fee added between you and the lender. The terms you are offered are Credicorp’s own, set out clearly before you commit.

Can a broker still introduce me to Credicorp?

The point is that you can come to us directly without one. Dealing directly gives you a single, accountable relationship and the lender’s own terms, which is the most straightforward route for most limited companies.
